"Extraordinary hilltop lodging! We were stunned by the beautifully designed grounds and the extremely tastefully decorated accommodation providing every possible amenity (every unit has its own little terrasse with small "garden" boasting a Braai facility, fire basket, hanging rail for clothes, etc. etc.). The rooms were welcoming us with several lovi...ngly arranged details (such as a stuffed rabbit on each children`s bed) whilst we were provided with a helpful map with things to do and places to see/eat at in Swellendam - we will certainly be back!"

Very nice interior design (every accommodation looks a bit different, but all very comfortable) & everything you need after 2 weeks on the garden route! The Hilltop Country Retreat is a very relaxing place, with a nice pool in the middle of the green directly in front of the accommodations - & as a perfect extra: the great view on the mountains (and the stars by night)! Since it is really on the top of the hill, next to the mountains, it´s very quiet & peaceful. Very friendly staff, who knows many recommendations for the area! We highly recommend staying there! "

505731 - A Hilltop Country Retreat self-catering Swellendam

We fully enjoyed our stay at the Hilltop Country Retreat. The villa was exceptionally clean, well furnished and we loved the rustic theme. This is the perfect setting for small families; and our kids loved the splash pool. The welcome and hospitality of all staff is commendable. We will certainly be back soon.
